The Infirmary Incharge is responsible for managing the school infirmary and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff. The role involves providing first aid, handling medical emergencies, maintaining health records, and coordinating with parents and healthcare providers when necessary.
Provide first aid and immediate medical care to students and staff during school hours.
Assess and manage minor injuries and illnesses.
Maintain and update student health records and medical history.
Monitor students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies).
Administer prescribed medications with proper documentation and parental consent.
Maintain stock of medicines and first-aid supplies in the infirmary.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the infirmary.
Coordinate with parents/guardians in case of illness or emergencies.
Assist in organizing health check-ups and vaccination drives.
Maintain accident/incident reports and submit them to the school administration.
Conduct health awareness sessions for students and staff.
Ensure compliance with school health and safety policies.
Diploma/B.Sc. in Nursing (GNM/BSc Nursing).
Registered Nurse certification.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience (preferably in a school or pediatric setting).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
Strong first aid and emergency handling skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stay calm under pressure.
Record-keeping and documentation skills.
Compassionate and student-friendly approach.
