Job Summary:

The Infirmary Incharge is responsible for managing the school infirmary and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of students and staff. The role involves providing first aid, handling medical emergencies, maintaining health records, and coordinating with parents and healthcare providers when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first aid and immediate medical care to students and staff during school hours.

  • Assess and manage minor injuries and illnesses.

  • Maintain and update student health records and medical history.

  • Monitor students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies).

  • Administer prescribed medications with proper documentation and parental consent.

  • Maintain stock of medicines and first-aid supplies in the infirmary.

  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the infirmary.

  • Coordinate with parents/guardians in case of illness or emergencies.

  • Assist in organizing health check-ups and vaccination drives.

  • Maintain accident/incident reports and submit them to the school administration.

  • Conduct health awareness sessions for students and staff.

  • Ensure compliance with school health and safety policies.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma/B.Sc. in Nursing (GNM/BSc Nursing).

  • Registered Nurse certification.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience (preferably in a school or pediatric setting).

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

  • Strong first aid and emergency handling skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.

  • Record-keeping and documentation skills.

  • Compassionate and student-friendly approach.


Working Conditions:
