Co-curricular activities

Co-curricular activities are a vital component of the DWPS. They are designed to work alongside academic studies to foster holistic development, ensuring students grow not just intellectually, but also socially, physically, and emotionally.

  • Students learn essential life skills such as teamwork, leadership, time management, and problem-solving that cannot be taught solely through textbooks.

  • Engaging in hobbies and sports reduces stress and anxiety, providing a healthy break from rigorous academic schedules.

  • Participating in clubs and teams helps students improve their communication skills, build confidence, and learn to interact with diverse groups of peers.

  • Music: Vocal and instrumental training that develops discipline and auditory skills

  • Drama and Theatre: Stage plays and skits that build confidence, empathy, and memory skills.

4. Visual Arts and Crafts:

  • Painting and Sketching: Fundamental art skills using watercolors, acrylics, charcoal, and pencils.

  • Origami and Paper Craft: Japanese paper-folding techniques that improve fine motor skills and patience.

5. Physical Education and Sports:

  • Outdoor Sports: Team games like cricket, football, basketball, and volleyball that teach teamwork and stamina.

  • Indoor Games: Strategy-based games like chess, table tennis, and carrom that improve concentration.
