The Art & Craft Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging art lessons that nurture creativity, imagination, and artistic skills among students. The teacher will encourage self-expression while developing students’ understanding of various art forms and techniques.
Plan and implement age-appropriate art and craft lessons as per the school curriculum.
Teach drawing, painting, sketching, clay modeling, paper craft, collage work, and other creative activities.
Introduce students to various art styles, techniques, and basic art history concepts.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and required materials in advance.
Maintain and manage art supplies and classroom resources effectively.
Organize and display students’ artwork on bulletin boards and during exhibitions.
Support students in developing creativity, fine motor skills, and visual expression.
Encourage participation in competitions, exhibitions, and school events.
Assess students’ performance and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain discipline and ensure a safe, positive classroom environment.
Collaborate with other teachers for interdisciplinary activities and school programs.
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts / Visual Arts or relevant field.
B.Ed. (preferred as per school norms).
Prior teaching experience in a school setting is an advantage.
Strong creativity and artistic skills.
Good classroom management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, enthusiasm, and passion for working with children.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school functions.
Maintain records of students’ progress.
